The Greek Tony's Story

A Family Tradition

Greg D’Avignon and his family were living in Muskegon, Michigan, where Greg  had a best friend named Tony Moulatsiotis, who indeed happened to be Greek. D’Avignon did a lot of factory and production line work before meeting Moulatsiotis, who taught him the pizza business. In 1982, Greg D’Avignon and family moved to The Woodlands area and opened Greek Tony’s first Texas location. Though both franchises share the same logo they are completely separate, merely sharing a common name, similar menu and friendship.

Greg D’Avignon passed away in July 2011 of lymphoma. He was known by many throughout the community as a soccer coach, little league supporter and a community activist. Little has changed at the family hangout and pizza joint over the 30 years Greek Tony’s has been in business, and we plan to keep it that way!
